Classify sheets

Tell the extractor what each page is. You need at least one Floor Plan.

Trace walls

Pick a sheet, then click between a wall’s two lines to flood-fill it. Click a filled wall to remove it. Door/window openings preview automatically. Turn on Fill connected run (or hold Shift) to follow the wall straight through its doors/windows and corners in one click.

Place wall manually

For walls auto-detect misses. Pick a mode, set a thickness, then click on the plan — the cursor snaps to real wall faces, endpoints and corners (never dimension or text lines). Two points: click each end (chain corners for an L-jog). Face + side: click a wall face, then click the side the wall body sits on. Extend wall: click an existing wall, then click across the gap to lengthen it.

Openings

Trace walls straight through, then run Detect openings once over the whole network: doors & windows are auto-found and sized from the door/window schedule (doors exact; windows get their glazing height + sill from the schedule/elevations, or a sensible default to adjust). Add: click a wall, then enter the schedule mark (e.g. 2868 DR) and size. Remove: click a wrong opening to delete it. Window height: click a window to set its sill/head.

Open shell audit

Flags open spots in the wall shell — free wall ends, openings with no jamb/return, and breaks in the exterior perimeter (amber rings on the plan). Close: turn on, then click a flag to snap a closing wall exactly onto the nearest real wall face/corner. When there's no source edge to snap to it says so rather than guessing.

Shear walls

Exterior walls braced for lateral load. Auto-detect callout symbols from a structural framing sheet, then click walls on this plan to add/remove shear before building. Shear walls export with Reference “SW”.

Framing geometry

Drive committed wall geometry from the structural framing plan. Register a framing sheet, then the walls you click adopt their centerline, thickness and end-caps from the framing plan (drawn purple); walls with no framing match keep their floor-plan geometry (blue).

Roof line typing

Pick a roof / floor / framing sheet, choose a line type below, then click the two ends of a line — start point, then end point — to type everything between them. A snap marker shows where each click lands; zoom in to separate close points; press Esc to cancel a pending start. Reselect the same line with the same type to clear it. Types persist across re-runs; export recolors the original vectors onto a clean plan. This is a 2D annotation track — it never changes your walls or IFC.
